Makerspace Github Repo
Makerspace-wide Software Repository
Github is one of the most popular software versioning systems out there today. You can put your code in the cloud and pull it down, make edits, and push it back up. Then if you need to roll back to a previous version you can do that too. You can also easily share your code and have other programmers make a fork of your code, make changes or additions, then if you want to and if you like those changes you can pull their version into your original.
So now we have a single page on Github under the Melbourne Makerspace organization that we can all share our software projects to and have them all in one place for all the other members to quickly access, fix, or improve.
If you don’t already have a Github account get a free one (or a paid one if you want!) and then go to the makerspace page and request an invite. Then you can share your code for the whole space.
